The OpenBudgets Network comprises of a select group of project partners covering a wide range of aspects related to fiscal transparency, a stakeholder board populated with key figures and domain experts, as well as a European-wide network of other projects and organisations and related H2020 projects.
Stakeholder Board
The engagement of stakeholders is key for the success of OpenBudgets.eu for user input, feedback, testing and dissemination. That is why the consortium of the project is diverse and contains research institutes, NGOs, CSOs, and Journalists. Additionally, OpenBudets.eu has installed a stakeholder advisory board to consult the consortium at crucial stages of the project: user-stories, platform development, testing and dissemination.

Each of them is a key player in the field of Budget Transparency with a wealth of experience in civic tech, campaigning, and budget transparency research. They have already provided valuable feedback at every stage of the process and remain to do so in the current dissemination phase. The consortium has organised two offline workshops one wide to gather input and feedback from stakeholders as well as two online meetings and several calls. The first stakeholder workshop in December 2015 and the experts meeting at IODC led to the establishment of the current stakeholder board, which was informed of the progress of the project and asked for input during online meetings in November and July, as well as several follow up phone calls throughout the year. |

Smarticipate Smarticipate will give citizens access to data about their city in an easy to understand way, enabling them to better support the decision-making process. Local governments will be able to tap into the ingenuity of their residents, gaining valuable ideas. This two-way feedback makes cities more democratic and dynamic.
